  • Lexsor TV repair

Good service overall. A few small problems: %u2022 Initially told by one of their engineers over the phone that the good news was that there was nothing wrong with my TV. I then explained the fault in detail and said that I wasn't likely to be spending the call our fee of £65 just to send my Lexsor TV away on holiday to meet other TVs. I had already explained the problem to the lady with whom I made the booking and the installer who came to collect the TV. The engineer gave his assurance that he now understood. %u2022 When the TV was returned for installation the installer did... More...

  • Consumonics on behalf of Samsungfixer company

I had an appointment arranged for them to attend a call out. After staying home all day and them failing to attend I emailed them to see why no one attended. I had a response from a lady called Christine from consumonics stating they had a system error and the jobs hadn't loaded correctly. She apologised and offered an alternative date and an insulting £5 off the call out fee. I emailed back stating I wasn't available the day she quoted due to work commitments and requested another date. I also made it quite clear that I wasn't happy with her £5offer from the... More...

  • Broken TV Job No E8447

My TV was collected on 12th July. Communication was always patchy. Eventually I was told what repair was needed and given a quote (from which the 73.00 call out fee was deducted as per the information I had been given) I then heard nothing until yesterday when I had a voice mail asking me to ring them. WenI finally managed to contact the person who actually knew about my job it was to be told they have ordered the part but their supplier cannot tell them when it will be delivered. After some thought - and reading some of the bad reviews on here...I decided to get my TV back since I am not... More...

DO NOT deal with this company!!! It has been a horrendous experience and I wish I did more research before I phoned them up. It has taken just over 2 months to sort my TV out, which is ridiculous. They charge an upfront fee to draw you in then give you an overprices quote to fix your TV. I chose not to take their repair cost and now my TV is in a worse state than when I sent it off. They have been no help on the phone and have constantly lied about calling and trying to deliver the TV. When questioned on the phone they 'sort it out' and supposedly call back within the hour, I have... More...

Truly shocking service. Requested repair re HD sound and advised this would be fixed within 7 days on 2nd Feb. It is now 2nd March no repair and agreed to send a reconditioned 42 inch TV and my old TV back with the existing brackets, Delivery today but no old TV and no brackets. Even tried to charge me £112 ! DO NOT USE this company! They have not produced any paperwork for the £79 call out or advised in writing what the fault was. Should be investigated by Trading Standards. Job No : E1773 More...

JOB NUMBER D9671 Completed 10/10/2014 LG Plasma TV Motherboard? replaced. Now we have an intriguing fault. The picture freezes, then cuts out for almost exactly 10 seconds. When the service resumes, it seems as though the system had been "re-booted" - the history of viewed channels is blank. HOWEVER - this occurs only during commercial breaks and seems to happen only digital programmes carried on UHF channel 25 (Crystal Palace). Do you have any idea about what might be happening here? Do you have an email address that I can use to send further information? More...

  • Rip off, unprofessional con men in Leeds.... AVOID AT ALL COSTS

They took my TV away to fix, charged me £50 initially that they said would be part of the fix cost, then a MONTH later told me it was going to cost another £172 to fix. Another 6 WEEKS later they said that the screen was faulty (ie they broke it) and it was going to cost another £700 to fix!!! Then he said they would dispose of the TV. When I asked for it back, they seemed a little concerned. These guys are complete cowboys. I wish I had checked for reviews on them before I used them. Please, if you value your money and equipment, do not use this company!! More...

  • Ridiculous Engineer's report

These charlatans furnished me with a useless "Engineer's report" (for a faulty plasma TV) that conspicuously avoided any reference to the likely cause. This is something I specifically requested (I was claiming under SOGA 1979) and they promised me they would in a confirmation email, so I released the TV and paid up. Well, they didn't nor would they and it cost me £95. Contacted Trading Standards - not a dicky bird from them either. I eventually secured a legit report from Genserve in Swindon, absolving me of any blame. More...

  • Consumonics/CESN - Rubbish

I contacted Consumonics/CESN as they looked to be specialists in Samsung LCD TVs. After collecting the TV for a £60 non-refundable charge I heard nothing for a week... a second week nearly went by so I phoned them. I was told I would receive a call in the next few days with a repair estimate. No call. I called again, same story. No call. This persisted for about 3 weeks before again after I chased they confirmed they needed a part. I waited a further week, chased them to be told the part hadn't solved the problem and they needed to order another part! At this point it was 6 weeks... More...

  • very rude and not clear on website

basically i want nothing to do with these people ever again. The website tells you nothing about the £95.00 labour costs on top of £70.00 pick up and delivery costs. The T.v went for repair but came fixed with the power button, still didnt work sent it back, came back again and still not working , went back again and came back with it working this time , but the button fixed originally on the first visit was wobbly again. The so called manager is extremely rude and put the phone down on me, they do not give it to other managers that also own this company.i do not want anything... More...

I wish I had seen the bad comments before I contacted them. £75 to collect my Sony Led tv, after 10 days of hearing nothing I contacted them, they said they ran the diagnostics and told me that the main board needed replacing £350!!! As they already had my initial payment of £75 that would be taken off the price, very generous. They asked if I wanted to go ahead with the repair or they would dispose of my tv or have my tv returned. I said I would have my tv back and get a second quote, their response was I wouldn't get a better price and better to have the repair done by them or get them to dispose of the TV. I opted for the return and did get a 2nd quote, only £20 to run a diagnostics check and £150 for parts and labour. My idea is if I hadn't asked for the tv back they would of repaired the tv for a fraction of the price they quoted then sold it on and made a huge profit. I now know to check reviews.

This is a con business. I have serious doubt if they indeed repair TVs. They rip you off the fee (£80) to take the TV set away and will not tell you what is wrong with it until you pay for it. Once they get the money they will tell you that it is not worth repairing it and send the TV back treating you very rudely and professionally.

I cannot stress enough how expensive these guys are to the end user. They don't always use their own repair technicians (if ever) and simply contact a (normally independent) repair centre near the client. These repair centres pick up the items, repair/quote Consumonics for repairs at sensible prices, at which point Consumonics whack a massive "handing" charge on top for the client to pay.
Forget using Consumonics and just look for your local TV, HiFi, Home-Cinema repair centre. They'll still end up doing the job for you but it will be much lower in price & you'll be directly supporting your local community, not a call centre (which it appears this is all Conumonics is)far away.
Think local, save money.

Please be aware these are cowboys, tv went back and forth 3 times and still not repaired and finally I received it un Repaired and guess what when u plug it in in sparks and later noticed the underneath panel is missing. They are all so rude and definitely not educated in this field. Please don't make the same mistake I did
